A few days ago, I went to Wild Wings, a local restaurant. On draught they had the usual bland fizz, Bud Light, Miller etc, but there was a tap nestling in the middle. White tap handle, pale blue label, which I couldn’t read from where I was sitting.. Humm, I thought could be a wheat beer… It was. I had discovered Blue Moon.
Considering this beer is made by Coors, who, like many of the megabreweries the world over, make endless gallons of chemical crap, I was pleasantly suprised by this beer. Easy drinking for sure, and although it had little aroma, it had an almost floral flavor and quite strong citrus hints too. It wasn’t heavy, and if I’d been in the mood this could certainly have been going down for a long evening session. A rather good after taste too.
Last evening I was in Doschers, a local supermarket, and there it was in bottles. I had to try a six pack. Again I am not disappointed, although I generally prefer my beer on tap. In fact, I’m enjoying another bottle of it, as I type this.
I shall certainly buy it again
The Beer Advocate has more on this beer.
Well it started off cold this morning, only 36 when I got up around 8.30. It got up to around 61F this afternoon, so was quite pleasant. Warm enough to enjoy some fresh air. I have been working most of today on a new site.
Today has dawned a gray day. It’s only 43F outside. The forecast gives 70F by this afternoon.
I’ve set up this blog, and it’s slowly, oh so slowly growing. I can’t help but wonder though. We’ve all got something to say, but is anyone listening? Now we’re all jumping on the blog wagon. Feverishly typing away, we’re all DIY publishers with things to say, but if we’re all so busy writing down our thoughts, and ranting to the world, are we reading each others rants or is just everyone shouting at the same time, and listening to no-one else?
