27 Dec 07 Bhutto Murdered

So Benazir Bhutto is the latest political victim in Pakistan.

Whilst I agree that her murder is a blow to any kind of democratic process in Pakistan, I don’t for a minute think she was a champion for democracy, and nor do my online Pakistani friends who live there.

They suspect it was the ISI, or Government Secret Service there that had her murdered, possibly with the knowledge of Musharraf, so that she couldn’t win any election against him.

Fox News here trots out the predictable terror line, that it was al Queda or the Taliban.
