I haven’t posted for a day or two. I’ve been busy. I’ve also been busy in places away from the computer. It’s kind of difficult to post then. I’ve started using Jott, and that allows you to blog from your cellphone (or any phone) by dictating a message. You get up to 30 seconds. It’s fairly good, although not perfect, as sometimes words aren’t recognized, and you have to spell them out. All within your 30 seconds.
However it is a useful tool for sending quick reminders or even email acknowledgements or quick reminders to friends, family, and colleagues while you’re on the move. This kind of thing can only get better as voice recognition gets better. Apparently Jott runs on a mixture of computer and human transcription.
By the way, don’t dictate anything too rude or it won’t get transcribed, so best not to rant down it at an employee or at the cable company when it’s gone down yet again.
