Blogging Down?
I’ve heard it said that blogging is down. Social Media is the in thing.
Perhaps this is true. I’ve found myself spending more time on social media hang outs than blogging jsut lately.
The three apps I am using the most are FriendFeed, Plurk, and Twitter. I just find FriendFeed so useful to be able to read stuff, and comment on it, thereby joining in the conversation.
I don’t use Facebook much these days really, although, I’ve started a new group there recently for NAB Radio, so perhaps I’ll start using it more again. I’m still finding Twitter very useful. As I’ve mentioned before it’s the easy portability that I find a winner, and that I can send/receive via SMS. No need for trying to mess around with battery draining web sessions on my cellphone.
Anyway, I do like to blog too - well I guess that’s obvious, or I’d not be writing this!
Sometimes, it does seem as if some things turn full circle though. Now everyone is empowered to blog, perhaps the novelty has worn off. Too much “noise” out there. After all, no one wants to write to only themselves do they? I don’t think so. Are you still there? Hello?
