Buffalo Wings

I was getting a little peckish, so I thought I’d raid the refrigerator.

I found some hot wings from last evening, that I didn’t eat. Kathy had gotten them from Zaxby’s. I’ve never tried their wings before. It’s not something I usually have as a take-out, but get when I’m in a bar, with a cold beer.

Anyway, I kind of approximated to that, as I had some cold Icehouse in the refrigerator, so that went down quite nicely with these wings.

Now, hot seems to come in two kinds.

The first kind is that which is hot from the get-go, and gets hotter for a while, and then dies away. The second is probably the best (or worst depending on your point of view). They don’t seem very hot at all, and you much away, and suddenly it hits you, and your mouth is like the inside of a dragon’s ass. Well, I’ve always assumed that a dragon’s ass is as hot as it’s mouth.

Anyway, these were of the first kind, and the heat rapidly dissipated.

Just as I started into them, one of our neighbors called, and asked if we’d like to go to Brecks for dinner. That’s a local steakhouse, which does a really good steak, and as it’s Friday, they have prime rib, as well as the regular rib-eye and T-bones. A 32 ounce rib eye is $12.45 including a side salad, and fries or jacket potato and one vegetable. It’s not a high class joint, but it’s clean and the service is efficient, and I’ve not found any where any cheaper. We;ve not been for a couple of months, so it will make a change too.

Good job there were only 5 wings to much through, or it might have spoiled my appetite. Anyway, I’m going to grab another beer while I’m waiting.
