Busy Times
Been a busy couple of days here really. Hence the quiteness on the blog front.
Friday, I was visiting a couple of clients, so no opportunity to sneak in a blog or two. Got home after that, and it was a quick shower and turn around to go to the Low Country Bloggers Meet at Fiery Ron’s in West Ashley. It was the first time I had been there, and I was impressed with the food, and they had a decent choice of draft beers too. I’m always disheartened if all that is in offer is the nasty rice swill or “lite’ beers. Please! I want something with some character and flavor. Anyway, Fiery Ron’s had Blue Moon on tap which isn’t a bad beer, and much better than I would ever expect from the likes of Coors, who’s output is generally in the ’swill’ class in my opinion.
This morning, Kat & I headed downtown and grabbed some fresh fruit and vegetables in the Farmers Market in Marion Square. We headed home, had some home-made BLTs for lunch, and got a little work done in the afternoon.
This evening, we headed over to Fiery Ron’s again (it was Kathy’s first visit, she was out with friends at the Fat Hen on James Island last evening). We had their combo platter, and for a good size slab of ribs, and a quarter BBQ chicken with home made mac & cheese, and collards for $12.95, it was excellent grub for a good price. Oh, I had another Blue Moon to wash it all down. After that we had a wander around Barnes & Noble grabbed a coffee, and headed home via Publix to pick up some groceries.
Now, it’s almost 1am already, and time to get some shut-eye, and see what Sunday brings.
