I started The Kat & Eye Jukebox back in September 2005, and we’ve been on the air since that time. However, all good things must come to an end, and we’ve decided not to renew our Broadcasting Subscription with Live365.com this month.
It’s been fun along the way, and it’s taught us a lot about running an Internet Radio station (although like most things in life, there’s always more to learn.
We’ve moved on since then. We helped to set up Radio Free Charleston, and we’re forging ahead with NAB Radio, which is now broadcasting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with a content largely composed of indie music of all genres, and interspersed with live shows.
It was possible to do live broadcasting with our Live 365 package, but running our own set up from our own dedicated computers, and server stream means we can do much more. Therefore we’ve decided to funnel all our energies into NAB Radio.
We hope that those of you that listen to The Kat & Eye Jukebox, will tune into NAB Radio instead (hopefully you already do anyway). We’ve got lots of plans for the future with NAB Radio.
The Kat & Eye website is currently still running, and we’re still offering online CD reviews and purchases from the site, and although we’ve not decided what to do with that yet, we might integrate that into NAB Radio’s site instead, which is currently undergoing a revamp.
Meanwhile The Kat & Eye is on the air for a few more days, so you’ve still got a chance to tune in, and say Bye Bye to The Kat & Eye.
