Clear Out

Today out goes the other defunct router. This is the one that went west a couple of weeks ago. I replaced this with the D-Link DIR 655, which is the first n spec network equipment here. It gives 300mbps over the LAN, once I’ve also upgraded some of the NICs in the other computers. Also the new router features intelligent QoS, and should work wonders with radio streaming and VOIP.

Oh my word! That looks exactly like the router that burnt out on me earlier this year during a system upgrade -- I turned it off for a couple of hours, and it never turned back on again. What model number is that?
