Live Oak

In Old Santee Canal Park, Moncks Corner, SC
This majestic tree grows to only about 50 feet in height, but its large limbs may spread out 100 feet or more. The wood was commonly used for shipbuilding before steel. The oval-shaped, evergreen leaves curl under on the edges. Its acorns are a good wildlife food.
