21 Jul 07 Irish Car Bomb

The name is a bit sick, but it was a good drink. I’m really primarily a beer drinker, but Having heard the name mentioned at Madra Rua, our local Irish pub, last evening, we thought we ‘d give it a try.

It’s a half pint of Guinness in a pint glass. with a small glass with a shot of Jamesons Irish Whiskey, and a shot of Baileys Irish Cream When you’re ready to drink it, you drop the small glass into the Guinness, and down the lot in one gulp. Ok, I’ll have one, I told the Bartender. To my surprise Kathy had one too, and so I chugged it down. When I looked over Kathy had finished hers too!

It was really rather like chocolate milk shake in a way. It was pleasant anyway, and a bit of fun. I went back to a regular pint of Guinness after that though.
