Lost & Found

There are good honest people out there. Actually I think most people fit that description - to varying degrees. I mean if you found a ten dollar bill in the street what would you do? Probably keep it. What if you then saw someone obviously looking for it? Would you return it to them? Say it was $1,000 you found? $10,000….

Anyhow, yesterday afternoon we took a drive downtown. We parked along the battery, and walked along East Bay Street, and up to Waterfront Park. We took photographs and video, and then, after stopping at the Southend Brewery Pub for lunch, we walked through part of the French Quarter, taking more photos and video on the way, and returned to the battery.

We drove home.

After we’d been home a short while Kathy’s cellphone rings. It was Bonnie. Someone had called her from my phone. I’d apparently dropped it at the battery whilst getting the car keys off my belt loop.

Bonnie, who was watching a game at the North Charleston Collesium, went downtown to meet the guy and get the phone for me. Meanwhile we got in the car, and drove back there as well.

He had called Bonnie, as it was the first number he could find on the phone.

He wouldn’t take anything for finding it either.
