I am Jewish and cherish the flag that covered the casket of my brother. He served this country proudly and gave his life for his beliefs. The flag was not offensive and the things it represented were also his values. To understand what the folds represents makes this even more special. The foundation of this country allows EVERYONE to practice their faith with freedom. It is an umbrella that protects us all.

Look at our government today and you will answer your own question. Man (our Government) can amend anything they want because we the people work for them most of the time without the right to vote on anything. They can make laws without our votes, give theirselves raises, not help the people here before they help other countries, send us to war then send that country money to rebuild what they sent us over there to destroy, in war I thought you fought for your country and the people at home reguardless of race and belief but yet we get our taxes raised and the elder people have to do with out food or medicine, veterans still get shity care and 5 states pay their vets less than the other states, I thought the government was supposed to pay us equal, we all have some hardship others worse than most. So who cares who decided what thes folds mean anyway,at least they were thinking of the AMERICAN PEOPLE , If they don't like it to bad, they should have know before they went. And yes I served in Viet-Nam in 1968-69 during the tet offence so read up more on thf flag or don't say something you really don't know anything about.

One would presume the flag is folded the exact same way of the coffins of fallen American soldiers who are Jewish or Muslim. I hope nobody tells their parents about all the Christian symbolism supposedly built into the act of folding these flags.

Who decided that all the folds ment these things, anyway?
