It was on this day in 1837, that Queen Victoria ascended to the throne, following the death of King William IV, who was her uncle.
In 1967, in Houston, Muhammad Ali was convicted of violating Selective Service laws by refusing to be drafted. The conviction was later overturned by the Supreme Court.
In 1974 the movie ‘Jaws’ was released.
