Parson Jack’s Cafe
Parson Jack’s Cafe It was a cinch to get there from North Charleston. 526 to exit 11B, then onto Glenn McConnell Pkwy, About 2 miles look for Mary Ader Ave. Turn right into there, and then Shelby Ray Ct is the first on your right. Parson Jack’s is in the building that comes up on the left.
We’ve been going to go for some time, and never got around to it. This evening we decided to venture out.
We got a real friendly welcome from Steve, and from Linsey, the Bartender. There is a huge choice of bottled beers, and a fair selection of draft beers too.
I decided I wanted to take the challenge I’d heard about - if you can eat 10 "jackass" breaded wings (they have to be the breaded ones to qualify) you get them on the house. Kathy had the new item on the menu - the zucchini chips with a homemade horseradish dill sauce.
The wings were hot, and good. Yes, I finished them, just, and I really did get them for free.
After cooling down I checked out the beers on offer, and decided to try a pint of Top Dog Barley Wine. Steve informed me that it was 11% ABV, and it was certainly a potent full-bodied brew, which was, nonetheless quite smooth considering its strength.
We’ll certainly be looking to go back there again soon, and try some of the other menu items, such as their half pound burgers.
If you’re in the Charleston Area I recommended you try them out.
