20 Feb 05 Party for Corn and Antonio
Corn is leaving us and returning to Germany and Antonio is leaving for a better job offer.
We are a having party for them as a leaving do for both of them. We surely will miss them, as Corn will leave the US again and joining his lovely wife Cece in Germany. (She left ahead to get them an apartment). Am sure we will see Antonio again as he will be in the Charleston area.

Well, since they’ve changed my work schedules, I won’t be able to make the party!! So that sucks big time! but hey, I better get some food put aside for me! Is all am saying!

Well it was a disappointment for Corn. No-one turned up, except for myself and Charles. Kat was working until Midnight. By the time we’d been to Doscher and bought meat salad and beer, we might as well ahve gone to a local sports bar, and had some beer and wngs. Still we made the best of it, and it was a relaxing evening.
I found some Blue Moon in Doschers, which is a rather excellent US made, Belgian Style wheat beer. It was around $.530 for six 12 oz bottles. I had some of that on tap the other evening in Wild Wings on Rivers Avenue. Mind you it was $3 a pint there.

Granted that the people that were invited have all valid excuses, but never mind, we will go out before he leaves when we take him to Atlanta and maybe meet up with my cousin, Aya at the City Cafe….
