The Skype outage was caused by everyone trying to log-on to skype after the latest Microsoft update, according to an article on Skype’s Heartbeat Blog today.

Personally, I still find it incredible that it took two whole days for everyone to be able to log on again! I’m used to Microsoft induced crashes, including BSOD’s and it’s never taken two days to recover, although it’s taken a whole day to re-install the lame operating system.
