It was, albeit briefly, like a carnival atmosphere, as the Olympic Torch passed through Hounslow yesterday on its journey around the United Kingdom. It’s visiting every London Borough.
It was a beautiful day for it too!

British Telecom has announced plans to invest $3 billion to set up high speed broadband to 10 million homes in the UK by 2012. Speeds will reach up to 100 Mbps.
BT say that homes linked into the current type of cable infrastructure – fiber to boxes in the street, and then copper wire from there – will get speeds of 40-60MB but those premises that have fiber all the way will get up to 100MB.
BT will surely be looing to get this all set up in time ofr hte 2012 Olympics which will be held in London.
It is the largest internet infrastructure expansion program ever undertaken in the UK.
