One of them is this delicious offering from the Morland Brewery.
It has a smooth raisin finish.
It’s a decent strength too, which balances that maltiness with an abv of 6.5%.
Perhaps it’s a bit too strong for some to have as a session beer, and it’s not really a summer ale; more suited to a winter’s evening in my view with all that malt, but I’d certainly be up for sinking a few when I’ve got the time!
We are using tomorrow’s Rare Beer Tuesday time slot to celebrate the addition of a new brewery to the Charleston beer world! Thirsty Dog Brewing Company out of Akron, Ohio is now available in bottles (see full lineup below) and we will be tapping a keg of their highly acclaimed Siberian Night Imperial Stout for growler fills starting at 5pm! This is the first time this beer has been available in the area and is the only keg around, so don’t miss out!
