Cask Event Tomorrow at 2pm (Saturday 5/9)
We are very excited to have received our next real cask ale feature: Foothills Pilot Mountain Pale Ale with an extra dose of dry hopping!  This should be really delicious stuff.  For those unfamiliar, cask ale is beer in its purest form without force carbonation, filtering or any processing.  We fill growlers of these beers the old fashioned way, from a gravity tap.  Unlike our regular growler selections, cask ale has no shelf life and is highly perishable.  It must be drank the same day as being tapped so plan accordingly.  This is a small cask and it will go very fast so don’t wait if you plan to get some!
Bell’s Kickoff Reminder
Don’t forget that the retail launch for Bell’s Brewery will be happening Thursday, May 14th at 5pm.  We’ll have most of the year round line up available in bottles, 5 liter mini kegs of Oberon and some very special offerings on the growler station (maybe even some HopSlam IPA and Expedition Stout).

Wow, lots of really great stuff to tell you about at The Charleston Beer Exchange!
Rare Beer Tuesday Tonight at 5pm (5/5)
As we do every Tuesday at 5pm, we’ll be tapping a very special, highly limited keg for growler fills.  Tonight’s feature is a beer called Confluence from Allagash Brewing in Portland, Maine.  Confluence is created with a mixed fermentation of two yeast strains, undergoes a lengthy aging process and is dry hopped prior to bottling.  This all translates to a very complex and unique beer.  This will be the only draft release of this beer in South Carolina.  Don’t miss it!
