Decided that as it was a nice afternoon it was high time to get away from the computer for a while, and do some exercise, so we went to Wannamaker County Park on University Boulevard in North Charleston for a couple of hours.
It’s only $1 each to get in, and there’s always room to park, and it’s a pleasant walk around.
There’s a nature trail you can take if you fancy a walk in the trees, or you can stay on the path.
You can rent bikes if you prefer, or a canoe on the lake.
There is a refreshment room there, serving hot and cold drinks and hot dogs and chips, and ice cream.
There’s also a large water fountain you can play in (or even cool off in after the walk), and there’s also Whirling Waters Fun Park, but that’s an extra charge not included in the $1 general admission to the park

So where have I been? It’s been quite busy here the last few days, even on the weekend. Something has to give sometimes, and as I spend all day in front of one of these beasts, sometimes, just sometimes, I have to kick back, and let it know who is master.
Yes, OK, so you are, oh wonderful box of bits, bytes, chips, nybbles, and silicon.
When you think back almost 40 years to when we landed on the moon, and the power of the computer in the lunar module, compared to what we have today…
Mind you, if Appolo had relied on Windows they’d have probably ended up on Mars or Venus instead. No, it’s ok, I won’t go off on an anti Microsoft rant today, although, I hear the latest in a whole pile of lame, buggy, insecure, non-compliant web browsers is about to hit the streets in beta form today… Internet Explorer 8. IE6 and 7 are still out there tormenting us web developers…. sigh.
The weather here today (yes, lets change the subject), is delightful for early March. I’ve got the doors wide open and fresh air through the whole condo.
It’s currently 66F outside and 77 in here. That suits me just fine for now, while I’m sitting here tickling my masters keys. Master? Don’t be silly! I could dismantle the network, sell the computers, and live quite happily without ever seeing one again. Of course I could! Couldn’t you?
