I always enjoy strolling along the Chiswick High Road.

A great variety of stores and stalls along here, from major national, and international chains, to small family run independents. I could spend many hours walking around here, and always find something new.

If you get tired of walking, on a fine day you may care to sit for a while on one of the many benches in the area, or go sit in Turnham Green. Alternatively hop on one of the many frequent buses when you’ve had enough, and go to many other areas of either suburban or central London.

There are many places to eat and drink. Traditional English pubs, European style bistros, and brassieres, to Asian Cuisine, there is surely something for everyone’s taste and pocket.

It’s quite an imposing building, and it’s tied to one of my all-time favorite breweries, Fuller, Smith and Turner of nearby Chiswick, but alas, it’s a dire place to drink, particularly at night.
About the only good thing you can say is that it seems to keep the rabble out of the much nicer, and smaller, and less imposing North Star on the other side of the street (behind and to the right of where I took this photograph.
