Today’s item is another old VHS VCR. It is going to Goodwill to keep the other one company. How quickly what seemed to be great new technology seems ancient now. Heck it wasn’t too long ago when we didn’t have video recorders in the home at all! I remember buying my first one in 1982, and it cost over $1,000.

Today, this VCR is the clearout item. I don’t even have any VHS tapes! I’ve got a few box fulls in my mothers attic, but they’re all PAL anyway, and won’t work on a NTSC VCR here, even if I ship them here. So it’s off to Goodwill with this old dinosaur.

It’s been sitting in the closet at the top of the stairs for months on end. I don’t even know where it came from. It’s not one I bought. I can remember what I’ve had here, and that wasn’t one of them. Anyway, it might work, it might not. It can go to Goodwill. Someone can buy it for a few bucks and play with it.
