Coffee is back in London. Did it ever go away? Like good beer, it became harder to find for a long time, but good coffee is back on the menu, and these days, one doesn’t have to go far to find a really good cup of joe.
A world apart from the ubiquitous chains, independent coffee shops aren’t hard to find.
I’m not much of a morning person. Never have been. If I have to get up before dawn I do it, but I don’t enjoy it, particularly in the winter. Still, working very late shifts isn’t as easy as it once was. I’m not too much of a social bunny these days in terms of spending my evenings off drinking and dancing, but, of course, when working until 2am, social events are out-of-bounds. Mostly, it doesn’t bother me, but sometimes it sucks. The other thing that sucks about working so late, is that I get to bed really late, and then I either wake up after a few hours and feel tired all day, or I wake up late, and feel I’ve already missed half the day.
Breakfast becomes lunch, lunch becomes dinner, and dinner ends up as a sandwich during my evening break. Topsy turvy food habits abound! As long as I get coffee, I’m good to go though!
