Me At The Grill I’ve slipped a little bit the last couple of days. Not too badly though, I hope.

Yesterday, we grilled out with the neighbors, and I was good and only had a salmon steak and some salad for dinner, but afterwards the three beers weren’t really a good choice, but enjoyable nonetheless.

I did decline dessert though (although for me that’s mostly easy).

This afternoon, after working with a client, I got dragged screaming to a local bar and force fed two beers, and ten wings.

After getting home it was grilling time again, with a lean steak, and some more salad. At least things like burgers (with associated buns and cheese) weren’t involved, nor were any fries, or loaded baked potatoes or chips.

George Carlin,  who was always running up against the regulators, with his  routines about drugs, dirty words and the demise of humanity,  has died of heart failure at Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica about 6 p.m PDT, Sunday. He was 71.

He had earlier been admitted complaining of chest pains. He had a history of heart problems.

“I don’t have any beliefs or allegiances. I don’t believe in this country, I don’t believe in religion, or a god, and I don’t believe in all these man-made institutional ideas,” he once said.

H had said he was looking  forward to an afterlife where he could watch the decline of civilization on a “heavenly CNN.”
