A cancelled appointment this morning wasn’t perhaps the best start to a working day, but I have to confess I’m enjoying the day so far.

After dropping Kathy downtown, I headed over to The Clipper Club for a Sailaway.

No, dear readers, nothing to do with water-bourne activities; I’m pretty much a landlubber!

No, a Sailaway at The Clipper Club involves a half hour of face, neck, and scalp hot towel massage, and a shampoo and style, so it’s a real pampering for us guys.

After that, I headed back to Folly Road, and decided to swing by Kronic Coffee, for a brew. I don’t get to this side of town very often, being way over in Ladson, and this is my first visit to this establishment.

Coffee & Bashy BLT at Kronic, James Island, SC I have to say that the coffee was excellent, and unlike certain other places, freshly brewed. The oatmeal I’d had for breakfast a few hours before was delicious, but it didn’t quite match up to the ‘Bashy BLT’ that I ordered here. This was quite simply one of the tastiest BLT’s I’ve even eaten anywhere, and just a great flavor combination. All BLT’s are NOT the same!
