.Some tips include:

• Add berries and nuts to your whole grain cereal.
• Eat fruit as snacks between meals.
• Include salads with lunch and dinner. Top with fruit, beans and/or a small handful of nuts.
• Eat vegetarian, bean-based meals more frequently.

Charleston Farmers Market We were going to go beach walking with a group today, but it went pear-shaped, so we ended up downtown instead, at the Farmers Market. We were planning to head there after the beach walk, so simply got there earlier.

It made a nice change to do this, as we’re both usually working on a Saturday.

Fruit & Vegetables We bought some fresh fruit and vegetables, took those back to the car, and then walked around the stalls. We got a great Lamb Gyro each for lunch for $10 for the two, and some freshly squeezed lemonade to wash it all down.

Large Coffee Took a walk down King Street, and then ended up having coffee in City Lights in Market Street. After that, we were strolling back towards the car, when we found the new location of O’Hara & Flynn on Meeting Street.

Mixed Olives & Chianti We had a glass of wine, some mixed olives and sampled a couple of cheeses. That rounded off our morning downtown very nicely.

Apples & Bananas

  1. Fresh fruit. A bunch of just ripened bananas, and some Gala apples. I actually enjoy eating both of these on a regular basis, and not only do they look good, but they do you good, so I think they look doubly good.
  2. The new look of this blog. The more I look at it, the more I like the uncluttered look. The old look was able to display more information in one go, but somehow this looks fresher.
  3. A lot of rain lately means the grass outside is really green. Green has always been my favorite color.
