, a of has died from cancer at the age of 65. He wrote songs on some of their classic albums such as ‘Wish You Were Here’ and ‘’.

He appeared on the bands first album ‘The ’ in 1967.

He was forced to resign from Pink Floyd during the 1980′s ‘The Wall’ , due to ever mounting with Roger Waters.

On July 2, 2005, Wright, Gilmour, were joined by Waters on stage for the first time since the Wall concerts for a short set at the in London.

Wright is survived by his third wife (to whom he dedicated his second Broken China).

I guess this is rather belated, but I remember him well back in the 70′s, both with this Gilbert O’Sullivan penned hit, and also with, perhaps the more well known ‘, What Would You Say?’m which was a hit on both sides of the Atlantic.

He was born in North London in 1923. He was a in the RAF during . He became a in 1959, and worked on all the by the Beatles up to and including Rubber Soul.

In 1967,  he produced some of the first Albums. He also worked with .

He died on March 4th, 2008 at the age of 85.
