
Dot Reid is a grandmother who lives in Merseyside in North West England.
Mrs Reid has submitted an application to Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council in Hertfordshire for planning permission to demolish the home of Sir Terry Leahy, who is the CEO of Tesco, the United Kingdom’s largest supermarket chain.
Tesco wants to pull down her home along with another 71 homes to build a new supermarket along with a new football stadium for Everton Football Club on the site. She plans to turn the site of Sir Terry’s home into a community garden.
One of Tesco’s main competitors in the UK is Asda, a supermarket chain owned by the US-based Wal-Mart corporation, currently the worlds largest retailer.

A man was shot dead as he was driving in Merseyside. He was killed by a bullet through the windscreen. Police believe it was a targeted attack.
The 35-year-old man, who has not yet been named but is known to police, was hit in the head as he drove a gold Land Rover along Mackets Lane in Halewood.
