Today’s Tipple wasn’t a dinner drink in my Floydian style of during the making of the meal, nor the more regular style of during the meal. No, this evening I decided to have a beer after dinner, while I am writing this very blog post actually, dear reader.
Why isn’t there a “Today’s Tipple” every day?
Well sometimes, I don’t have one! Yesterday, for example, my wife Kathy came home with a meal from the new World Oriental Kitchen on King Street. Everything made from fresh and organic ingredients. Darn good it was too, and not too expensive either. It was still warm, even after the bus ride home.
Anyway, that meant I didn’t make any dinner, so I didn’t throw a brew down my throat while doing so.
Anyway, sometimes, I have something as innocent as a cup of tea. In the cabinet there is gren tea, red tea, black tea, and white tea. I kid you not.
Still, I am totally digressing from the point of today’s post, and is to tell you in a loud and happy voice that I am slaking my dry and parched throat (that’s my excuse, if I needed one), with a Dogfish Head 90 minute Imperial Ale. Cheers!

As my wife is in California this week on family business, I am at home all alone left to fend for myself. Really, though, aside from the fact that I miss my wife being here, I’m fine really.
I can keep things ticking over, and I’m quite ok with cooking for example. I’m definitely not the sort of guy that has to rely on take-outs on such occasions.
However, a friend of ours called to ask if I was at home, as she had something she wanted to drop by.
What she wanted to leave was totally unexpected, and I was gobsmacked really, so I didn’t thank her enough for her kindness.
This is what she left.
