Kim Peek, The real Rain Man, which inspired the film, starring Dustin Hoffman, , has died of a heart attack aged 58. He had a photographic memory, and could read a books page in ten seconds flat. He could even read both pages at once; the left one with his left eye, and the right one with his right eye.

He was born autistic, and not much was known about autism back in the 1950′s. His parents were advised to have him locked up in a mental institution.

Although he went on to become expert in fifteen different topics, he had practically no motor skills at all, and couldn’t even dress himself.

He lived with his fater, who took care of him. Check out the video below
