Met some friends, and we took a walk around the Riverfront Park in
North Charleston, and then headed over to Madra Rua, where we were in time for some of their excellent brunch.

Last weekend we spent a relaxing afternoon at North Charleston’s Riverfront Park. The park opened in June 2005.
It’s a pleasant place to walk around and to sit in and watch the river traffic itself. There’s a memorial to Charleston’s Naval Base which closed in 1996, and was itself opened in late 2007.
Around the park are some interesting sculptures, and there is also an open air stage with room for a sizeable audience.
There are no refreshment facilities, but there are water fountains, and public restrooms.
