Oatmeal This is a rather different product to what we usually have. We normally get regular rolled oats. We do make sure that we don’t buy the instant oats though, as much of the fiber, and nutrients, and cholesterol-reducing properties have been removed from that.

This product is cut, rather than rolled, so takes a little longer to cook, and is a different texture in the mouth.

Easy to make though. Simply pour some boiling water onto the oatmeal, and microwave for 3 minutes.

Stire, and microwave for another two. If you don’t want to use the microwave, you can, of course, make this in a pot as usual. I tend to use a microwave, as I can eat from the dish I cook it in, saving time, effort, water, and dishwashing liquid in washing up. A little more frugalism in action!
