I found this fascinating quote today:
Write the headline first. Really. Always.
With Google Suggest users are going to start to type in words for what they’re looking for, and find that Google is effectively going to hold their hand. This could mean that those sites that use long-tail keywords will need to re-think their SEO.
Why? Well the average user is going to start to type in words, and Google is going to attempt to finish it off for them, instead of the user doing it for themselves.
Think about it for a moment. You want to search for a new home on the east coast. As it goes now, you might well type in “east coast homes for sale” and see what Google gives you. With Google Suggest, as you start to type, Google will give you a list of suggestions. Therefore you won’t be finishing the search string you were going to put it, as once you get to say “east coast homes” you’ve already got a long list of suggestions, so you’ll pick one of those instead.
In my opinion it could alter the whole dynamics of SEO in a fundamental way.

It started off a little later than usual. I didn’t get up until around 8 this morning. Mind, you I think that’s because I didn’t sleep at all well the night before.
Anyway, I soon got the usual stuff under way. First, get the coffee brewing, and then, get washed and dressed, and check email. One has to get one’s priorities the right way around.
After sorting through a couple of dozen or so emails that had appeared overnight, and after doing a little checking up on blogs, and other personal sites, it was time to start some work.
First off, I got on with updating some pages on a site. The client wanted some nice new graphical links on his site, never mind that text links are better for SEO, and were, in my opinion, better to see for visitors!
After working on that for an hour or so, I moved onto a long tedious task of applying links to an existing site for a client’s client. It’s a no-brainer, but it’s monotonous and tedious work, and it takes a few hours, so I had a lunch break in the middle of it, to break it up a bit.
So, after making a roast beef sandwich, I decided to wash the dishes (when I managed to cut my finger on a glass that decided to crack apart for no seemingly good reason!) After staunching the blood – it was only a small cut, but glass can tend to go in a ltitle deep – and getting all nice and cleaned up (dulite peroxide to hand, sheesh it stings!), I prepared dinner for this evening.
Back to work, which took the rest of the afternoon. Kept me out of mischief I guess. This evening, after dinner, I’m going to listen to some music, or perhaps one of the audiobooks I have, and spend a little time chilling out.
