Following on from the story that I reported yesterday “The Last of The Few” it has been decided to abandon attempts to exhume and move Flt Sgt Williams remains, as they are buried too deep.

The authorities will now consider erecting some kind of memorial to the fallen pilot, who was only 29 years old when he was killed in a battle over Gravesend in Kent.
