A teenager is in a serious condition after being stabbed several times in a fight in east London. The 15-year-old boy was with friends on Hackney Road when a fight started following an altercation with another group on Sunday. Police said he was stabbed a number of times during the fight and then stumbled onto a stationary bus, number 55, and collapsed. A 16-year-old boy has been arrested over the stabbing.

A murder inquiry is under way into the death of a man who was stabbed during a night out to celebrate his 21st birthday. David Haynes, of Wellingborough, was attacked near a kebab shop in Silver Street, Wellingborough, Northants, in the early hours of Sunday. He was stabbed in the abdomen and taken to Kettering General Hospital where he died on Sunday afternoon. Three men have been arrested and are in custody.

Police in Cornwall are investigating allegations that a 21-year-old man was attacked as he sat in a car. A man opened the door of the car and assaulted the passenger near the post office on High Cross Street, St Austell, early on Saturday. Police are appealing for witnesses to help identify the attacker. The man was not seriously injured. Officers said they believe the attacker may have been foreign and could have had a speech impediment.

CRAZED knife man attacked a hospital psychiatrist with a blade he bought in a Kent city center shop. Paranoid schizophrenic Scott Waters slashed at a consultant at St Martin’s Hospital, Canterbury, because he thought staff were trying to kill him with injections.
He had bought a folding knife in an army surplus store in the city shortly before the attack. Canterbury Crown Court heard that police equipped with shields and pepper spray were called to subdue Waters.
