Toy Or Tool?

I was plurking the other day, when someone asked the question “Do you use your computer as a toy or as a tool?”

My answer was that I use a computer for both. I work on one during the day, and I use it for chatting on various services outside of work time, and also watch video, and listen to music.

The same goes for software, and online apps. For example, I use Facebook more as a toy, but MySpace more as a tool. I use IRC as a toy, but Skype more as a tool.

So what are you five favorite apps, and do you use them as a toy or as a tool, or both?
