It did feel like a special photograph at the time, in as much as I was excited to be able to take my own photos. Back then I got one film for a whole week - 8 black and white shots - so I had to be careful what I took!

I was excited at the time I took it, as it was some of the first photographs I ever got to take with my own camera - a Brownie Box. I've managed to keep the original photographs down the years - which wasn't bad going as I was only ten when I took that. Now, of course, looking back, it does invoke memories of times past.

That's a wonderful image. Did it feel like a special image at the time? Or is it just the atmosphere that 40 years of time passing brings?
