You’re Dead
In the UK, a 77 year old widow went into her local Abbey National Bank to retrieve some of her savings. She was, however, refused the money, as she was, according to the bank, dead.
The bank, said they would have to investigate, and it took NINE weeks, and intervention from the BBC before she was able to gain access to her money. Abbey National did give her compensation, but what if she had really needed the money to live on?
Banks in the UK are not supposed to release the funds of any deceased person until they have a copy of the death certificate.
The Ineptitude of banks never ceases to amaze me, and the way they treat you, almost like a criminal, even when they are clearly in the wrong.
